And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, have been grafted in among them, and partake with them of the root and fatness of the olive,

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the participation of the blood of the Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the participation of the body of the Christ? Because the loaf is one, we, the many, are one body, for we are all partakers of the one loaf.
Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God, having been builded upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner-stone, in whom the whole building, compactly fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord;read more.

so we, the many, are one body in Christ, and members one of another.
For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body, so also is the Christ.
