And death and hades were cast into the lake of fire: this is the second death.

Blessed and holy is he that has part in the first resurrection; over such the second death has no power: but they shall be priests of God and of the Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

For this corruptible body must put on incorruptibility; and this mortal body must put on immortality. And when this corruptible body shall have put on incorruptibility, and this mortal body shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the word that is written: Death is swallowed up in victory. Death, where is thy sting? Hades, where is thy victory?

But concerning those who have fallen asleep, I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that you may not grieve, as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also should we believe that God will, through Jesus, bring with him those who sleep. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we, the living, who remain till the coming of the Lord, shall not precede those who are asleepread more.
for the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall arise first; then we, the living who remain, shall, together with them, be caught up in clouds into the air to meet the Lord, and so shall we be ever with the Lord.
