14 Bible Verses about Four Creatures

There are four things which are little upon the earth, but they are wiser than the wise men:

If a man shall steal an ox or a sheep and kill it or sell it he shall restore five oxen for an ox and four sheep for a sheep.

And four great beasts came up from the sea, different one from another.

These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise in the earth.

Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: they had the likeness of man. And each one had four faces, and four wings. And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot; and they sparkled like the colour of highly burnished brass.read more.
And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and their faces and their wings on all four sides. With their wings they joined one to another; they did not return when they went; they went each one straight in the direction they were facing. And the likeness of their faces was human faces; and lion faces, on the right side; and they four had ox faces on the left side; likewise they four had eagle faces. Thus were their faces; and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of each one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies. And they went each one straight forward in the direction they were facing: wherever the Spirit directed them to go, they went; and they did not return when they went. As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire and like the appearance of lit torches; the fire went up and down among the living creatures and the brightness of the fire; and out of the fire went forth lightning. And the living creatures ran and turned as the appearance of lightnings. Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold a wheel upon the earth with its four rims by the living creatures. The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a stone of Tarsis or beryl; and they four had one likeness; and their appearance and their workmanship was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel. When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they did not return when they went. And their ribs were high and dreadful, and full of eyes round about them in all four.

And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal, and in the midst of the throne and round about the throne were four animals full of eyes in front and behind.

And the four animals had each of them six wings about him, and they were full of eyes within, and they did not cease day or night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come.

And I saw, and, behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four animals and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

And when he had taken the book, the four animals and the twenty-four elders fell on their faces before the Lamb, each one of them having harps, and golden vials full of incense, which are the prayers of saints.

And I saw when the Lamb had opened the first seal, and I heard the first of the four animals, saying as with a voice of thunder, Come and see.

And I heard a voice in the midst of the four animals, which said, A choenix of wheat for a denarius and three choenix of barley for a denarius; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

and they sang as it were a new song before the throne and before the four animals and the elders; and no one could learn that song but the hundred and forty-four thousand, who were redeemed from the earth.

And one of the four animals gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who lives for ever and ever.

And the twenty-four elders and the four animals fell upon their faces and worshipped God that was seated upon the throne, saying, Amen! Halelu-JAH!
