8 Bible Verses about Imperfect Nature Of Human Glory

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower thereof falls away: But the word of the Lord endures forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

The voice said, } Cry. { And he said, What shall I cry? {} All flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is as the flower of the field: The grass withers, the flower fades: because the breath of the LORD blows upon it: surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades: but the word of our God shall stand forever.

For he sees that wise men die, likewise the fool and the senseless person perish, and leave their wealth to others. Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue forever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.

As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourishes.

But if the ministry of death, written and engraved in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: How shall not the ministry of the Spirit be more glorious?

Be not afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased; For when he dies he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.

For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excels.
