For the whole Law is summed up in one saying: "You must love your neighbor as you do yourself."

You do not need to have anyone write to you about brotherly love, for you have yourselves been taught by God to love one another,

Now that by obeying the truth you have purified your souls for sincere love of the brotherhood, you must love one another intensely and heartily,

His command is this??hat we are to believe in his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he has commanded us to do.
This is the command that we get from him, that whoever loves God must love his brother also.

But in sinning against your brothers in this way and wounding their too scrupulous consciences, you are really sinning against Christ.
