It shall come to pass in the last days that the mount of the house of the LORD, shall be set in the top of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills: and all nations shall resort thereto. And much people shall go and say: come, and let us go up to the hill of the LORD and unto the house of the God of Jacob: that he may teach us his ways, and that we may walk in his paths. For out of Zion shall come the law, and the word of God out of Jerusalem. And he shall be judge among the heathen and tell many nations their faults. And they shall turn their swords into mattocks and their spears into scythes. One nation shall not lift up a sword against another, neither shall they teach to war any more.

Behold, the LORD shall waste and plague the world, he shall make the face of the earth desolate, and scatter abroad the inhabiters thereof. Then shall the priest be as the people, the master as the servant, the dame like the maid, the seller like the buyer, he that lendeth upon usury, like him that borroweth upon usury, the creditor as the debtor. The earth shall be heavy and decay: The face of the earth shall perish and fall away, the proud people of the world shall come to naught. For the earth is corrupt of her indwellers. For why? They have offended the law, changed the ordinances, and broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse consumed the earth; and they that dwell therein are fallen into trespass. Wherefore the inhabiters of the earth are perished with drought, and those that remain shall be very few. The sweet wine shall mourn, the grapes shall be weak, and all that have been merry in heart, shall sigh. The mirth of tabrets shall be laid down, the cheer of the joyful shall cease, and the pleasure of lutes shall have an end: there shall no more wine be drunk with mirth, the beer shall be bitter to them that drink it; the wicked cities shall be broken down, all houses shall be shut that no man may come in. In the streets shall there be lift up a cry because of wine, all men's cheer shall vanish away, and all joy of the earth shall pass. Desolation shall remain in the cities, and the gates shall be smitten with destruction. For it shall happen unto all lands and to all people, like as when a man smiteth down the olives, that are left upon the tree: or seeketh after grapes, when the wine gathering is out.

So go now my people into thy chamber, and shut the door to thee, and suffer now the twinkling of an eye, till the wrath be overpast. For behold, the LORD will go out of his habitation, and visit the wickedness of them that dwell upon earth. The earth also shall disclose her own blood, and shall no more hide those that are slain in her.

There kneeleth the man, there falleth the man down before them; but thou, O LORD, wilt not leave them unpunished. And therefore get thee soon into some rock, and hide thee in the ground for the fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty: which casteth down the high looks of presumptuous persons, and bringeth low the pride of man, and the LORD only shall be exalted in that day.read more.
For the day of the LORD of Hosts shall go over all pride and presumption, upon all them that exalt themselves, and shall bring them all down: upon all high and stout Cedar trees of Lebanon, and upon all the oaks of Bashan, upon all high hills, and upon all stout mountains, upon all costly towers, and upon all strong walls, upon all ships of Tarshish, and upon everything that is glorious and pleasant to look upon. Men shall creep into holes of stone, and into caves of the earth, for the fear of the LORD, and from the glory of his majesty: what time as he shall arise to shake the earth. Then, then shall man cast away his gods of silver and gold - which he nevertheless had made to honour them - unto moles and bats that he may the better creep into the caves and rocks, and into the cliffs of hard stones, from the sight of the fearful judge and from the glory of his Majesty.

We heard songs sung to the praise of the righteous, from all the ends of the world. And I said, "O mine unfruitfulness! O my poverty! Woe is me! The transgressors have offended; the transgressors have grievously offended!" Fearfulness, the pit, and the snare are upon thee, O thou that dwellest upon the earth. It will come to pass, that whoso escapeth the terrible cry, shall fall in to the pit. And if he come out of the pit, he shall be taken with the snare. The earth shall give a great crack, it shall have a sore ruin, and take a horrible fall. The earth shall stagger like a drunkard, to and fro; and be taken away like a tent. Her misdeeds shall lie so heavy upon her, that she must fall, and never rise up again. At in that day shall the LORD muster together the high host above, and the kings of the world upon the earth. These shall be coupled together as prisoners be, and shall be shut up in one ward and punished innumerable days. The Moon and the Sun shall be ashamed, when the LORD of Hosts shall reign in mount Zion and in Jerusalem with worship, and in the sight of such as shall be of his counsel.
