Thou shalt not steal.

Thou shalt not steal.

Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death.

He that steals from his father and chases away his mother is a son that causes shame and brings reproach.

Thou knowest the commandments: Do not commit adultery, Do not murder, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.

Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him. Do not detain the wages of the work of the hired man in thy house until the morning.

A false balance is abomination to the LORD, but a just weight is his delight.

The riches of vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathers by labour shall increase.

Double weights and double measures, both of them are alike abomination to the LORD.

Thou hast defiled thy sanctuary by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy trafficking; therefore I brought forth fire from the midst of thee, which has consumed thee, and I brought thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all those that behold thee.

If thou should lend money to my people, to the poor who is with thee, thou shalt not be to him as a usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury.

He that does not put out his money to usury nor take a bribe against the innocent. He that does these things shall never be moved.

He that by usury and unjust gain increases his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.

And thou shalt take no bribe; for the bribe blinds the wise and perverts the words of the righteous.

He that is greedy of gain troubles his own house, but he that hates gifts shall live.

Better is a little with righteousness than a great number of fruits with injustice.

As the partridge that steals that which she did not hatch, is he that gets riches and not with righteousness; in the midst of his days he shall leave them, and at his end shall be a fool.

And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.

In thee they have taken bribes to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion and hast forgotten me, said the Lord GOD.

Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped your fields (which you have kept back by fraud) cries out; and the cries of those who have reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of the hosts.

He that oppresses the poor to increase his riches and who gives to the rich shall surely come to want.

neither oppress any, but restores to the debtor his pledge, does not commit robbery, gives his bread to the hungry, and covers the naked with a garment, neither lends at interest, neither takes any increase, withdraws his hand from iniquity, executes true judgment between man and man,

Forasmuch therefore as your treading is upon the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat, ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them.

And I will come near unto you for judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers and against the adulterers and against false swearers and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and do not fear me, said the LORD of the hosts.

Do not labour to be rich; cease from thine own wisdom.

And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lifted up my hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of the heavens and of the earth, that I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet; I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou should say, I have made Abram rich,

For what is a man profited if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?

For what is a man advantaged if he gains the whole world, having destroyed himself or having suffered the loss of himself?

But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee; then whose shall those things be which thou hast stored up? So is he that lays up treasure for himself and is not rich in God.

For those that desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.

Now those that are such, we charge and exhort in our Lord Jesus Christ, that working with quietness, they eat their bread.

And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?

These men are peaceable with us; therefore let them dwell in the land and trade therein; for the land, behold, it is large enough for them; let us take their daughters to us for wives, and let us give them our daughters.

In all labour there is fruit, but to talk and not do, brings poverty.

House and riches are the inheritance from fathers, but the prudent wife is from the LORD.

therefore, it was expedient for thee to have put my money to the bankers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with interest.

why then didst thou not give my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required my own with interest?

Be thou diligent to know the countenance of thy sheep, and put thy heart into thy herds. For riches are not for ever, and does the crown endure to every generation?

Go up to Hilkiah, the high priest, that he may sum the silver which has been brought into the house of the LORD, which the keepers of the door have gathered of the people; and let them deliver it into the hands of those that do the work, that have the oversight of the house of the LORD; and let them give it to those that do the work in the house of the LORD, to repair the breaches of the house, unto carpenters and builders and masons, and to buy timber and hewn stone to repair the house;read more.
and there is to be no accounting required of those unto whom the money is delivered because they deal faithfully.

For it is like a man travelling into a far country, who called his own slaves and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each one according to his faculty, and straightway took his journey. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful slave, thou knewest that I reap where I did not sow and gather where I have not scattered; therefore, it was expedient for thee to have put my money to the bankers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with interest.

He that is faithful with little is faithful also with much, and he that is unjust with little is unjust also with much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?

Moreover, it is required in stewards that each one be found faithful.

But if any provide not for his own and specially for those of his own house, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

If any faithful man or woman has widows, let them maintain them and let not the congregation be charged, that it may relieve those that are widows indeed.

Therefore as long as we have the opportunity, let us do good unto everyone, especially unto those who are of the household of faith.

He that gives unto the poor lends unto the LORD, and he will give him his reward.

He that gives unto the poor shall never lack, but he that hides his eyes from the poor shall have many a curse.

But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth that thine alms may be in secret; and thy Father who sees in secret, he shall reward thee openly.

Sell what ye have and give alms; ; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that fails not, where no thief approaches neither moth corrupts.

For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things that we need for the feast, or that he should give something to the poor.
