And it opened the bottomless pit. And there arose a smoke out of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace. And the sun and air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit.

He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet on a rock, and gave sureness to my steps.

And if a man shall open a pit, or if a man shall dig a pit, and not cover it, and an ox or an ass falls in it,

The first of the sabbaths Mary Magdalene came early to the tomb, darkness still being on it, and she saw the stone taken away from the tomb.

And they said among themselves, Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us? And looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back, for it was very great.

But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.

and the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep arose,
