For the administration of this service, doth not only supply the necessities of the saints, but likewise aboundeth by the thanksgivings of many to God:
But let not fornication, or any uncleanness, or covetousness be even named among you, as becometh saints:
And if ye are Christ's, then are ye the seed of Abraham, and heirs according to the promise.
And say not within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father; for I say to you, God is able of these stones to raise up children to Abraham.
Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance; and say not within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father; for I say to you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children to Abraham.
Therefore it is of faith, that it might be of grace, that the promise might be firm to all the seed; not only to that which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all, (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations) before God in whom he believed, as quickning the dead, and calling the things that are not, as though they were: Who against hope believed in hope, that he should be the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
As Abraham believed God, and it was imputed to him for righteousness. Know then, that they who are of faith, these are the sons of Abraham. And the scripture foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, declared before the glad tidings to Abraham, In thee shall all the nations be blessed.read more.
So then they who are of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse;
For it is written, Abraham had two sons, one by the bond-woman, another by the free-woman. And he of the bond-woman was born after the flesh, but he of the free-woman by promise. But Christ as a Son over his own house, whose house we are, if we hold fast the confidence and the glorying of hope, firm to the end.
And he hath put all things under his feet, and hath given him to be head over all things to the church, Which is his body; who is the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
For as in one body we are many members, and all members have not the same office, So we being many are one body in Christ, and every one members of each other.
Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in part.
And he gave some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, to the edifying the body of Christ; Till we all come to the unity of the faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
But ye shall receive power, the Holy Ghost being come upon you, and shall be witnesses to me, both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth.
Go ye and disciple all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
And he said to them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also who will believe on me thro' their word: That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou hast given me, I have given them, that they may be one, as we are one:read more.
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfected in one; and that the world may know, that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them as thou hast loved me.
