15 Bible Verses about Plenty For The Poor

For He has satisfied the thirsty soul,
And the hungry soul He has filled with what is good.

“He has filled the hungry with good things;
And sent away the rich empty-handed.

Abundant food is in the fallow ground of the poor,
But it is swept away by injustice.

When they measured it with an omer, he who had gathered much had no excess, and he who had gathered little had no lack; every man gathered as much as he should eat.

as it is written, “He who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little had no lack.”

“Those who were full hire themselves out for bread,
But those who were hungry cease to hunger.
Even the barren gives birth to seven,
But she who has many children languishes.

The afflicted will eat and be satisfied;
Those who seek Him will praise the Lord.
Let your heart live forever!

“I will abundantly bless her provision;
I will satisfy her needy with bread.

For thus says the Lord God of Israel, ‘The bowl of flour shall not be exhausted, nor shall the jar of oil be empty, until the day that the Lord sends rain on the face of the earth.’”

The bowl of flour was not exhausted nor did the jar of oil become empty, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke through Elijah.

So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons; they were bringing the vessels to her and she poured. When the vessels were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.” And he said to her, “There is not one vessel more.” And the oil stopped.

He who gives to the poor will never want,
But he who shuts his eyes will have many curses.

For there was not a needy person among them, for all who were owners of land or houses would sell them and bring the proceeds of the sales

at this present time your abundance being a supply for their need, so that their abundance also may become a supply for your need, that there may be equality;

and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?
