Lord, you have heard the request of the oppressed; you make them feel secure because you listen to their prayer.
"You must not afflict any widow or orphan. If you afflict them in any way and they cry to me, I will surely hear their cry,
For he will look down from his sanctuary above; from heaven the Lord will look toward earth, in order to hear the painful cries of the prisoners, and to set free those condemned to die,

and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing to him.
For this reason I tell you, whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
And this is the confidence that we have before him: that whenever we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
Again, I tell you the truth, if two of you on earth agree about whatever you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you.
