And they made ready the present waiting until Joseph came at noon, for they heard that they should eat bread there.

Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover? And he said, Go into the city to a certain man and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples. And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them, and they made ready the passover.

And he sends forth two of his disciples and said unto them, Go into the city, and a man shall meet you bearing a pitcher of water; follow him. And wherever he shall go in, say to the husband of the house, The Master says, Where is the guestchamber where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?read more.
And he will show you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us. And his disciples went forth and came into the city and found as he had said unto them, and they made ready the passover.

And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover lamb that we may eat. And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare? And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there ye shall find a man bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he enters in.read more.

And now when the evening was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,

And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.

The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day (for that sabbath day was a high day) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken and that they might be taken away.

Therefore they laid Jesus there because of the Jews' preparation day, for the sepulchre was near.

And it was the preparation of the passover and about the sixth hour; then he said unto the Jews, Behold your King!

Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the princes of the priests and the Pharisees came together unto Pilate,

But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee; then whose shall those things be which thou hast stored up?

And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup and gird thyself and serve me until I have eaten and drunken, and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?

Pass through the camp and command the people, saying, Prepare food; for within three days ye shall pass this Jordan, to enter in to inherit the land, which the LORD your God gives you to inherit.

Again, he sent forth other slaves, saying, Tell those who are invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my bulls and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready; come unto the marriage.

and he became very hungry and would have eaten; but while they made ready, he fell into a rapture of understanding

Then he said to his slaves, The wedding is ready, but those who were called were not worthy.

and sent his slave at supper time to say to those that were called, Come, for all things are now ready.
