For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted."
Be of the same mind one toward another. Don't set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Don't be wise in your own conceits.
Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you clothe yourselves with humility, to subject yourselves to one another; for "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."
But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."
Where then is the boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith.
He spoke also this parable to certain people who were convinced of their own righteousness, and who despised all others. "Two men went up into the temple to pray; one was a Pharisee, and the other was a tax collector. For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not toward God. For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness."
But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them, and became partaker with them of the root and of the richness of the olive tree; don't boast over the branches. But if you boast, it is not you who support the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, "Branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in."read more.

The fear of Yahweh is to hate evil. I hate pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the perverse mouth.
I will silence whoever secretly slanders his neighbor. I won't tolerate one who is haughty and conceited.
Yahweh, my heart isn't haughty, nor my eyes lofty; nor do I concern myself with great matters, or things too wonderful for me.
For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think reasonably, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.
Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud,
But far be it from me to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
