Wherefore (said he to his disciples,) be not sollicitous for your life, what ye shall eat; nor for the body, what ye shall put on. the life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap: nor have cellar or barn: are not you of much greater value than the fowls?read more.

the Lord is coming: be not in any manner of sollicitude, but in all your occasions lay your requests before God by prayer and supplication accompany'd by thanksgiving.

let your morals be free from avarice, being contented with what you have: for he hath said, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." so that we may boldly say, " the Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me."

submit yourselves therefore to the divine jurisdiction, that he may exalt you in due time. refer all your disquietudes to him, for you are the objects of his care.
