When Jesus was risen, the morrow after the Sabbath day he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he cast seven devils.

Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken such things unto her.

And as they went to tell his disciples: behold, Jesus met them, saying, "All hail." They came and held him by the feet and worshipped him.

which said, "The Lord is risen in deed, and hath appeared to Simon."

And behold, two of them went that same day to a town, which was from Jerusalem about three score furlongs, called Emmaus: and they talked together of all these things that had happened. But their eyes were holden, that they could not know him. And he said unto them, "What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another as ye walk, and are sad?" And the one of them named Cleopas, answered, and said unto him, "Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which have chanced therein in these days?" To whom he said, "What things?" And they said unto him, "Of Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet, mighty in deed and word, before God and all the people. And how the high priests, and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death: and have crucified him. But we trusted, that it should have been he that should have delivered Israel. And as touching all these things, today is even the third day, that they were done. Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished: which came early unto the sepulchre, and found not his body. And came saying, that they had seen a vision of angels which said that he was alive. And certain of them which were with us, went their way to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not." And he said unto them, "O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken. Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?" And he began at Moses, and at all the prophets, and interpreted unto them, in all scriptures which were written of him. And they drew nigh unto the town which they went to. And he made as though he would have gone further. But they constrained him, saying, "Abide with us: for it draweth towards night, and the day is far passed." And he went in to tarry with them. And it came to pass as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it unto them. And their eyes were opened. And they knew him. And he vanished out of their sight,

The same day at night, which was the morrow after the Sabbath day, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled together for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and said to them, "Peace be with you."

And after eight days again, his disciples were within, and Thomas was with them. Jesus then came when the doors were shut, and stood in the midst and said, "Peace be with you."

After that, Jesus showed himself again at the sea of Tiberias. And on this wise showed he himself:

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him. But some of them doubted.

After that, he was seen of more than five hundred brethren at once: of which many remain unto this day, and many are fallen asleep.

After that appeared he to James, then to all the apostles.

And it came to pass, as he blessed them, he departed from them, and was carried up into heaven.

And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up: and a cloud received him up out of their sight.

And last of all he was seen of me, as of one that was born out of due time.
