Also taking the cup, and blessing it, He gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all, of it; for this is my blood which belongs to the new covenant, which is shed for many unto the remission of sin.

And He said to them, This is my blood, which belongs to the new covenant, which is poured out for many.

Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out in your behalf.

For finding fault with them, he says, Behold the days are coming, says the Lord, and I will perfect upon the house of Israel and upon the house of Judah, a new covenant: not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers, in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they abode not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, says the Lord. And they shall no longer teach each one his neighbor, each one his brother, saying, Know ye the Lord: because all shall know me, from their small even unto the great. Because I will be merciful unto their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.

And on this account he is mediator of the new covenant, since there being death, unto the redemption of the transgressions unto the first covenant, those having been called may receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

And the Holy Ghost truly does witness to us: for afterward he said, This is the covenant that I will make unto them after these days, says the Lord; having given my laws on their hearts, and I will also write them in their mind; and I will remember their sins and iniquities no more.read more.
But where there is removal of these, there is no more offering for sin.
