John 10:1-16

Verily, verily I say unto you, He that entreth not into the sheep-fold by the door, but climbeth up some other way, is a thief and a robber. But he that cometh in by the door, is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth, and the sheep hear his voice; and He calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.read more.
And when he bringeth forth his sheep, he goeth before them: and the sheep follow him; because they know his voice. But they will not follow a stranger, but will flee from him; because they know not the voice of strangers. This parable Jesus spake unto them; but they did not understand what He said to them. Jesus therefore said unto them again, Verily, verily I tell you, that I am the door of the sheep. All that came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not regard them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved; and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh only to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they may have life, and may have it in perfection. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd layeth down his life for the sheep. But the hireling, that is not the true shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf seizeth them, and disperseth the sheep. Now the hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and I know my own sheep, and am known by them. Even as the Father knoweth me, and I know the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And I have other sheep, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they will hear my voice; so there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

Galatians 4:21-31

Tell me, you that are so desirous to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? where it is written, that Abraham had two sons, one by a servant, and one by a free-woman? But he who was of the servant, was born according to the course of nature; whereas the son of the free-woman was by virtue of the promise.read more.
Which things are figurative; for these persons are emblems of the two covenants, the one from mount Sinai, bringing forth children unto bondage, which is Hagar: for this name Hagar, a rock, is expressive of mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to the present Jerusalem, which is in bondage with her children. But the Jerusalem above is represented by the free-woman, which is the mother of us all. For it is written, Rejoice thou barren, that for a while didst not bear, break forth and cry aloud for joy, thou that didst not travail with child; for many more are the children of the desolate than of her that hath an husband." Now we, brethren, like Isaac, are children of the promise. But as then he that was born after the flesh, persecuted him who was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. But what saith the scripture? "Cast out the servant and her son: for the son of the servant shall not inherit with the son of the free-woman." Now we, my brethren, are not children of the servant, but of the free-woman.

Romans 11:15-24

for if the rejecting of them be the reconciling of the world, what will the receiving them again be but life from the dead? Now if the first-fruits be holy, so is the whole heap: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. But if some of the branches were broken off, and thou a wild-olive wert grafted in among them, and art made a partaker together with them of the root and fatness of the olive; boast not against the branches:read more.
and if thou boastest, remember thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. Wilt thou say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in? Well; they were broken off for their infidelity, and thou standest by faith: therefore be not high-minded but fear. For if God spared not the natural branches, neither would He spare thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: towards them that fell, severity; but towards thee, goodness; if thou continue in his goodness: for else thou also shalt be cut off. And they, if they do not continue in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able again to graft them in. For if thou wert cut out of the wild olive, which was natural to thee, and contrary to nature were grafted into a good olive; how much more shall these who are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive-tree?

Ephesians 5:22-33

Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord: for the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and the saviour of that body. As the church then is subject to Christ, so also should wives be to their own husbands in every thing.read more.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave up Himself for it: to sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that He might prepare it for Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle, or any such thing: but that it should be holy and unblameable. Men ought so to love their wives, as their own bodies: he that loveth his wife, loveth himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord also doth the church: for we are members of his body, as if taken out of his flesh, and of his bones, as Eve was out of Adam's. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This mystery is great: but I speak concerning Christ and the Church. Nevertheless, let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and let the wife reverence her husband.

Ephesians 6:11-17

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil. For our conflict is not with flesh and blood only, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the world and of the darkness of this age, against wicked spirits in heavenly places. Take therefore the complete armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand.read more.
Stand therefore having your loins girt about with truth, and putting on the breast-plate of righteousness: and having your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace: over all taking the shield of faith, whereby ye will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one: take also the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
