Fathers, I have written to you, because you have known him from the beginning. Young men, I have written to you, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one.

Wherefore, laying aside all malice, and all guile and hypocrisies, and envyings, and all evil speaking; as newborn babes, earnestly desire the unadulterated milk of the word, that you may grow by it. Because, indeed, you have tasted that the Lord is good;

Therefore, beloved, foreknowing these things, be on your guard; lest being also carried away by the deceit of the lawless, you fall from your own steadfastness. But grow in favor, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
