8 Bible Verses about Sudden Death

[In] a moment they die, and [in] the middle of [the] night [the] people are shaken, and they pass away, and they take away [the] mighty {effortlessly}.

They spend their days in prosperity, and in peace they go down to Sheol.

And immediately an angel of the Lord struck him down {because} he did not give the glory to God. And he was eaten by worms [and] died.

This [one] dies {in full prosperity}, {completely} at ease and secure.

Then Abigail went to Nabal, and look, {he was holding a feast} in his house like the feast of the king. {Nabal was enjoying himself}, and he [was] very drunk, so she did not tell him a thing, {nothing at all}, until the light of morning. {And then} in the morning when the wine had gone out of Nabal, his wife told him these words. Then his heart died {within him}, and he became like a stone. {And then}, about ten days later, Yahweh struck Nabal and he died.

[The] east wind lifts him up, and he is gone, and it sweeps him away from his place.

He who walks in integrity will be safe, but he who takes crooked paths will fall in one.

And on the first [day] of the week, [when] we had assembled to break bread, Paul began conversing with them, [because he] was going to leave on the next day, and he extended [his] message until midnight. Now there were quite a few lamps in the upstairs room where we were gathered. And a certain young man {named} Eutychus who was sitting in the window was sinking into a deep sleep [while] Paul was conversing at length. Being overcome by sleep, he fell down from the third story and was picked up dead.read more.
But Paul went down [and] threw himself on him, and putting his arms around [him], said, "Do not be distressed, for his life is in him." So he went up and broke bread, and [when he] had eaten and talked for a long [time], until dawn, then he departed. And they led the youth away alive, and {were greatly} comforted.
