7 Bible Verses about The Righteous Perishing

The devout man has perished out of the earth, and there is none upright among men. They all lay in wait for blood. They hunt every man his brother with a net.

The righteous man perishes, and no man lays it to heart. And merciful men are taken away; none considering that the righteous man is taken away from the evil [to come].

I am as a man who is a laughing-stock to his neighbor. I who called upon God, and he answered. The just, the perfect man is a laughing-stock.

There is a vanity which is done upon the earth, that there are righteous men to whom it happens according to the work of the wicked, again, there are wicked men to whom it happens according to the work of the righteous. I said that

All this I have seen in my days of vanity. There is a righteous man who perishes in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man who prolongs [his life] in his evil-doing.

He enters into peace. They rest in their beds, each one who walks in his uprightness.

Ye have condemned, ye have murdered the righteous man. He is not hostile to you.
