13 Bible Verses about Training Children

Teach a youth about the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Fathers, don’t stir up anger in your children, but bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Gather the people—men, women, children, and foreigners living within your gates—so that they may listen and learn to fear the Lord your God and be careful to follow all the words of this law. For I have chosen him so that he will command his children and his house after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just. This is how the Lord will fulfill to Abraham what He promised him.”

Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

I have no greater joy than this: to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
