Shall any take him when he is on the watch, or pierce through his nose with a snare?

But this is a robbed and plundered people. All of them are snared in holes, and they are hidden in prisons. They have become a prey, and no one delivers; and a spoil, and no one says, 'Restore them.'

You are trapped by the words of your mouth. You are ensnared with the words of your mouth.

The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in the LORD is kept safe.

The teaching of the wise is a spring of life, to turn from the snares of death.

The ways of the scoundrel are evil. He devises wicked devices to destroy the humble with lying words, even when the needy speaks right.

The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit. He has ceased to be wise and to do good. He plots iniquity on his bed. He sets himself in a way that is not good. He doesn't abhor evil.

They plot injustice, saying, "We have made a perfect plan." Surely man's mind and heart are cunning.

in whose heart is perverseness, who devises evil continually, who always sows discord.

Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil, but joy comes to the promoters of peace.

A worthless man devises mischief. His speech is like a scorching fire. A perverse man stirs up strife. A whisperer separates close friends. A man of violence entices his neighbor, and leads him in a way that is not good.read more.
One who winks his eyes to plot perversities, one who compresses his lips, is bent on evil.

They also who seek after my life lay snares. Those who seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and meditate deceits all day long.

In arrogance, the wicked hunt down the weak. They are caught in the schemes that they devise.

Let those who seek after my soul be disappointed and brought to dishonor. Let those who plot my ruin be turned back and confounded.

The wicked have laid a snare for me, yet I haven't gone astray from your precepts.

Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his Anointed, saying,

who by the Holy Spirit, through the mouth of your servant, David, said, 'Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot a vain thing?

For they intended evil against you. They plotted evil against you which cannot succeed.

For they have conspired together with one mind. They form an alliance against you.

Though I have taught and strengthened their arms, yet they plot evil against me.

There is one gone forth out of you, who devises evil against the LORD, who counsels wickedness.

Then the Pharisees went and took counsel how they might entrap him in his talk.

But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, "Why do you test me, you hypocrites?

Should we pay, or should we not pay?" But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, "Why do you test me? Bring me a denarius, that I may see it."

As they were eating, he said, "Truly I tell you that one of you will betray me."

And the Pharisees went out, and immediately conspired with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

They weren't able to trap him in his words before the people. They marveled at his answer, and were silent.

They said this testing him, that they might have something to accuse him of. But Jesus stooped down, and wrote on the ground with his finger.

Judas then, having taken a detachment of soldiers and officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, came there with lanterns, torches, and weapons. Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were happening to him, went forth, and said to them, "Who are you looking for?"

A prophet watches over Ephraim with my God. A fowler's snare is on all of his paths, and hostility in the house of his God.

When some of both the Gentiles and the Jews, with their rulers, made a violent attempt to mistreat and stone them,

that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;

Whoever causes the upright to go astray in an evil way, he will fall into his own trap; but the blameless will inherit good.

The steps of his strength shall be shortened. His own counsel shall cast him down. For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he wanders into its mesh. A snare will take him by the heel. A trap will catch him.read more.
