Nehemiah 1:8

Leviticus 26:1

Deuteronomy 4:25-27

Indifferent to her prostitution, she defiled the land and committed adultery with stones and trees.

Jeremiah 3:12-14

Go, proclaim these words to the north, and say:

Return, unfaithful Israel.
This is the Lord’s declaration.
I will not look on you with anger,
for I am unfailing in My love.
This is the Lord’s declaration.
I will not be angry forever.
Only acknowledge your guilt—
you have rebelled against the Lord your God.
You have scattered your favors to strangers
under every green tree
and have not obeyed My voice.

Jeremiah 9:2

They told Aaron:

Judges 2:16-17

Then Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria came against Ahaz; he oppressed him and did not give him support. At the time of his distress, King Ahaz himself became more unfaithful to the Lord. He sacrificed to the gods of Damascus which had defeated him; he said, “Since the gods of the kings of Aram are helping them, I will sacrifice to them so that they will help me.” But they were the downfall of him and of all Israel.

2 Chronicles 29:19
