Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.

A false witness shall perish: but the man that heareth speaketh constantly.

For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off: That make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproveth in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of nought.

Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it. Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God.
