The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing; But the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.

Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; And the idle soul shall suffer hunger.

I went by the field of the sluggard, And by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, The face thereof was covered with nettles, And the stone wall thereof was broken down. So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
