'Assigned' in the Bible

The Lord is the portion of my inheritance, my cup [He is all I need];You support my lot.

For you, God, have heard my promises; you have assigned to me the heritage of those who fear your name.

He drove the nations out from before them; he assigned them their tribal allotments and allowed the tribes of Israel to settle down.
