'Awe' in the Bible
But when the crowds saw this, they were awestruck, and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.
Now the centurion, and those who were with him keeping guard over Jesus, when they saw the earthquake and the things that were happening, they were terribly frightened and filled with awe, and said, “Truly this was the Son of God!”
They were filled with great fear, and said to each other, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”
because Herod was in awe of John and was protecting him, knowing he was a righteous and holy man. When Herod heard him he would be very disturbed, yet would hear him gladly.

They sang the song of God’s servant Moses and the song of the Lamb:Great and awe-inspiring are Your works,Lord God, the Almighty;righteous and true are Your ways,King of the Nations.
