'Back' in the Bible

Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come back,And tomorrow I will give it,”When you have it with you.

On the lips of the discerning, wisdom is found,But a rod is for the back of him who lacks understanding.

In the mouth of the foolish is a rod for his back,But the lips of the wise will protect them.

The sluggard buries his hand in the dish,But will not even bring it back to his mouth.

Judgments are prepared for scoffers,And blows for the back of fools.

All day long he is craving,While the righteous gives and does not hold back.

Do not hold back discipline from the child,Although you strike him with the rod, he will not die.

Deliver those who are being taken away to death,And those who are staggering to slaughter, Oh hold them back.

A whip is for the horse, a bridle for the donkey,And a rod for the back of fools.

He who digs a pit will fall into it,And he who rolls a stone, it will come back on him.
