And Jehovah said to him, Who gave man a mouth? or who maketh dumb, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? have not I, Jehovah?

for whatever man hath a defect, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or one limb longer than the other,

Blind, or broken, or maimed, or ulcerous, or with itch, or scabbed ye shall not present these to Jehovah, nor make an offering by fire of them on the altar to Jehovah.

But if there be a defect therein, if it be lame, or blind, or have any evil defect, thou shalt not sacrifice it to Jehovah thy God.

Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way! And all the people shall say, Amen.

And they asked them saying, This is your son, of whom ye say that he was born blind: how then does he now see?

His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind;

They called therefore a second time the man who had been blind, and said to him, Give glory to God: we know that this man is sinful.

He answered therefore, If he is sinful I know not. One thing I know, that, being blind before, now I see.

Since time was, it has not been heard that any one opened the eyes of one born blind.

And Jesus said, For judgment am I come into this world, that they which see not may see, and they which see may become blind.

And some of the Pharisees who were with him heard these things, and they said to him, Are we blind also?

Jesus said to them, If ye were blind ye would not have sin; but now ye say, We see, your sin remains.

Others said, These sayings are not those of one that is possessed by a demon. Can a demon open blind people's eyes?

And some of them said, Could not this man, who has opened the eyes of the blind man, have caused that this man also should not have died?

And now behold, the Lord's hand is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell upon him a mist and darkness; and going about he sought persons who should lead him by the hand.

and hast confidence that thou thyself art a leader of the blind, a light of those who are in darkness,

for he with whom these things are not present is blind, short-sighted, and has forgotten the purging of his former sins.
