And Isaac departed thence, and pitched his camp in the valley of Gerar, and dwelt there.
He reached a certain place where he decided to camp because the sun had gone down. He took one of the stones and placed it near his head. Then he fell asleep in that place
Laban overtook Jacob, and when Jacob pitched his tent in the hill country of Gilead, Laban and his relatives set up camp there too.
When he saw them, Jacob said, “This is God’s camp.” So he called that place Mahanaim.
He thought, “If Esau comes to one camp and attacks it, the remaining one can escape.”
So the gift was sent on ahead of him while he remained in the camp that night.
And he saith, 'What to thee is all this camp which I have met?' and he saith, 'To find grace in the eyes of my lord.'
and there go up with him both chariot and horsemen, and the camp is very great.
