'Cypress' in the Bible

“Even the cypress trees rejoice over you, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying,‘Since you were laid low, no tree cutter comes up against us.’

You have mocked the Lord through your servants.You have said, “With my many chariotsI have gone up to the heights of the mountains,to the far recesses of Lebanon.I cut down its tallest cedars,its choice cypress trees.I came to its distant heights,its densest forest.

I will plant cedars in the desert,acacias, myrtles, and olive trees.I will put juniper trees in the desert,elms and cypress trees together,

He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it.

Instead of the thornbush, a cypress will come up,and instead of the brier, a myrtle will come up;it will make a name for Yahwehas an everlasting sign that will not be destroyed.

The glory of Lebanon will come to you—its pine, fir, and cypress together—to beautify the place of My sanctuary,and I will glorify My dwelling place.
