'Deprived' in the Bible
Salt [is] good, but if the salt becomes deprived of its salt content, by what can you make it salty? Have salt among yourselves, and be at peace with one another."
and yet only one thing is really necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion and she shall not be deprived of it."

For Christ did not send me [as an apostle] to baptize, but [commissioned and empowered me] to preach the good news [of salvation]—not with clever and eloquent speech [as an orator], so that the cross of Christ would not be made ineffective [deprived of its saving power].
Why, the very fact that you have lawsuits with one another is already a defeat. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded?
as obscure persons, and yet are well known; as on the point of death, and yet, strange to tell, we live; as under God's discipline, and yet we are not deprived of life;
Ye are deprived of all profit from the Christ as separated from him, as many as are justified by law; ye have fallen from grace.
and constant disagreement among people whose minds are depraved and deprived of the truth, who imagine that godliness is a way to material gain.
deprived fire of its power, escaped being killed by the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became mighty in war, put to flight foreign armies.
