'Eating' in the Bible

While he was having dinner at Matthew's home, many tax collectors and sinners arrived and began eating with Jesus and his disciples.

When the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples, “Why is your Teacher eating with the tax collectors and sinners?”

and those eating were about five thousand men, apart from women and children.

These are the things that defile a man, but eating with unwashed hands does not defile a man.”
