'Fail' in the Bible
then I will do this to you: I will bring terror on you—wasting disease and fever that will cause your eyes to fail and your life to ebb away. You will sow your seed in vain because your enemies will eat it.
and so that the Lord will carry out His promise that He made to me: ‘If your sons are careful to walk faithfully before Me with their whole mind and heart, you will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.’
Therefore, Lord God of Israel,keep what You promisedto Your servant, my father David:You will never fail to have a manto sit before Me on the throne of Israel,if only your sons guard their walk before Meas you have walked before Me.
I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, as I promised your father David: You will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.
Know, then, that not a word the Lord spoke against the house of Ahab will fail, for the Lord has done what He promised through His servant Elijah.”
Therefore, Lord God of Israel,keep what You promisedto Your servant, my father David:“You will never fail to have a manto sit before Me on the throne of Israel,if only your sons guard their way to walk in My Lawas you have walked before Me.”
I will establish your royal throne, as I promised your father David: You will never fail to have a man ruling in Israel.
Whatever is needed—young bulls, rams, and lambs for burnt offerings to the God of heaven, or wheat, salt, wine, and oil, as requested by the priests in Jerusalem—let it be given to them every day without fail,
the Jews bound themselves, their descendants, and all who joined with them to a commitment that they would not fail to celebrate these two days each and every year according to the written instructions and according to the time appointed.
But the sight of the wicked will fail.Their way of escape will be cut off,and their only hope is their last breath.

“In those times many will rise up against the king of the South. Violent ones among your own people will assert themselves to fulfill a vision, but they will fail.
Threshing floor and wine vat will not sustain them,and the new wine will fail them.

But I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And you, when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”
Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith. Examine yourselves. Or do you yourselves not recognize that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless you fail the test.
Now we pray to God that you do nothing wrong—not that we may appear to pass the test, but that you may do what is right, even though we may appear to fail.
