'Father' in the Bible

And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

You said through the Holy Spirit, by the mouth of our father David Your servant:Why did the Gentiles rageand the peoples plot futile things?

And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran,

At this remark, Moses fled and became an alien in the land of Midian, where he became the father of two sons.

God has fulfilled this for us, their children, by raising up Jesus, as it is written in the second Psalm:You are My Son;today I have become Your Father.
