'Gave' in the Bible
and Jacob fathered Joseph the husband of Mary,who gave birth to Jesus who is called the Messiah.
but did not know her intimately until she gave birth to a son. And he named Him Jesus.
Then Herod, when he saw that he had been outwitted by the wise men, flew into a rage. He gave orders to massacre all the male children in and around Bethlehem who were two years old and under, in keeping with the time he had learned from the wise men.
When Jesus saw large crowds around Him, He gave the order to go to the other side of the sea.
When the crowds saw this, they were awestruck and gave glory to God who had given such authority to men.
Summoning His 12 disciples, He gave them authority over unclean spirits, to drive them out and to heal every disease and sickness.
Then He commanded the crowds to sit down on the grass. He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed them. He broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.
So the crowd was amazed when they saw those unable to speak talking, the deformed restored, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they gave glory to the God of Israel.
He took the seven loaves and the fish, and He gave thanks, broke them, and kept on giving them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.
And He gave the disciples orders to tell no one that He was the Messiah.
Take what’s yours and go. I want to give this last man the same as I gave you.
When He entered the temple complex, the chief priests and the elders of the people came up to Him as He was teaching and said, “By what authority are You doing these things? Who gave You this authority?”
“The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding banquet for his son.
To one he gave five talents; to another, two; and to another, one—to each according to his own ability. Then he went on a journey. Immediately
The man who had received five talents approached, presented five more talents, and said, ‘Master, you gave me five talents. Look, I’ve earned five more talents.’
“Then the man with two talents also approached. He said, ‘Master, you gave me two talents. Look, I’ve earned two more talents.’
For I was hungryand you gave Me something to eat;I was thirstyand you gave Me something to drink;I was a stranger and you took Me in;
For I was hungryand you gave Me nothing to eat;I was thirstyand you gave Me nothing to drink;
As they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take and eat it; this is My body.”
Then He took a cup, and after giving thanks, He gave it to them and said, “Drink from it, all of you.
and they gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord directed me.
they gave Him wine mixed with gall to drink. But when He tasted it, He would not drink it.
Jesus shouted again with a loud voice and gave up His spirit.
After the priests had assembled with the elders and agreed on a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money
Immediately he got up, picked up the mat, and went out in front of everyone. As a result, they were all astounded and gave glory to God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”

Now an opportune time came on his birthday, when Herod gave a banquet for his nobles, military commanders, and the leading men of Galilee.

It is like a man on a journey, who left his house, gave authority to his slaves, gave each one his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to be alert.
As they were eating, He took bread, blessed and broke it, gave it to them, and said, “Take it; this is My body.”
Then He took a cup, and after giving thanks, He gave it to them, and so they all drank from it.
When he found out from the centurion, he gave the corpse to Joseph.
Then she gave birth to her firstborn Son, and she wrapped Him snugly in cloth and laid Him in a feeding trough—because there was no room for them at the lodging place.

Summoning the Twelve, He gave them power and authority over all the demons, and power to heal diseases.
As the boy was still approaching, the demon knocked him down and threw him into severe convulsions. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, cured the boy, and gave him back to his father.
The next day he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said, ‘Take care of him. When I come back I’ll reimburse you for whatever extra you spend.’
But he replied to his father, ‘Look, I have been slaving many years for you, and I have never disobeyed your orders, yet you never gave me a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends.
But one of them, seeing that he was healed, returned and, with a loud voice, gave glory to God.
Instantly he could see, and he began to follow Him, glorifying God. All the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
He called 10 of his slaves, gave them 10 minas, and told them, ‘Engage in business until I come back.’
and said to Him: “Tell us, by what authority are You doing these things? Who is it who gave You this authority?”
And He took bread, gave thanks, broke it, gave it to them, and said, “This is My body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.”
They came near the village where they were going, and He gave the impression that He was going farther.
It was as He reclined at the table with them that He took the bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them.
So they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish,
But to all who did receive Him,He gave them the right to be children of God,to those who believe in His name,
“For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
You aren’t greater than our father Jacob, are You? He gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did his sons and livestock.”
Some boats from Tiberias came near the place where they ate the bread after the Lord gave thanks.
Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, just as it is written: He gave them bread from heaven to eat.”
Jesus gave them this illustration, but they did not understand what He was telling them.
So they gave a dinner for Him there; Martha was serving them, and Lazarus was one of those reclining at the table with Him.

When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” Then bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
After this, Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus—but secretly because of his fear of the Jews—asked Pilate that he might remove Jesus’ body. Pilate gave him permission, so he came and took His body away.

gave thanks, broke it, and said, “This is My body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.”
And the One who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave us the Spirit as a down payment.
Everything is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:
and not just as we had hoped. Instead, they gave themselves especially to the Lord, then to us by God’s will.
For if I boast some more about our authority, which the Lord gave for building you up and not for tearing you down, I am not ashamed.
