'Horror' in the Bible

He also told me, "Son of Man, look! I'm about to disrupt the source of bread in Jerusalem. As a result, they'll ration bread by weight while their terror continues to grow and they'll ration drinking water while their horror continues to mount!

So you will be a disgrace and a taunt, a warning and a horror, to the nations around you when I execute judgments against you in anger, wrath, and furious rebukes. I, Yahweh, have spoken.

They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads.

The king will mourn, the prince will be clothed with horror, and the hands of the people of the land will tremble. According to their conduct I will deal with them, and by their judgments I will judge them. And they will know that I am the Lord.’”

You'll be filled with drunkenness and grief. The cup that belongs to your sister Samaria is filled with horror and devastation,

For thus says the Lord Yahweh: "Bring up against them an assembly, and make them as a thing of horror and as plunder.

I will make you an object of horror, and you will no longer exist. You will be sought but will never be found again.” This is the declaration of the Lord God.

All of the inhabitants of the coastlands are appalled over you, and their kings {shudder} [in] horror; {they distort their faces}!

Those who trade among the peoplesmock you;you have become an object of horrorand will never exist again.”

All those who know you among the nationsare appalled at you.You have become an object of horrorand will never exist again.”

I will shock many peoples with you, and their kings will shiver with horror because of you. When I brandish my sword before them, every moment each one will tremble for his life, on the day of your fall.
