But when the man left, he began to proclaim it freely. He spread the news so widely that Jesus could no longer enter a town openly, but had to stay out in deserted places. Still, people kept coming to him from everywhere.
So the man got up, immediately picked up his mat, and went out in front of all of them. As a result, all of the people were amazed and began to glorify God as they kept on saying, "We have never seen anything like this!"

But Herodias kept it in her mind against him, and wished to kill him, and could not:

and began saying to Him, “By what authority are You doing these things, or who gave You this authority to do these things?”
And they kept looking out for an opportunity to seize Him, but were afraid of the people; for they saw that in this parable He had referred to *them*. So they left Him and went away.

He kept repeating, "Abba! Father! All things are possible for you. Take this cup away from me. Yet not what I want but what you want."
And they laid on him their hands, and kept hold on him;
Now the chief priests and the whole Council kept trying to obtain testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, and they were not finding any.
But He kept silent and did not answer anything. Again the high priest questioned Him, “Are You the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?”
Some of them began to spit on him. They blindfolded him and kept hitting him with their fists and telling him, "Prophesy!" Even the servants took him and slapped him around.
The high priests kept accusing him of many things.
They kept hitting Him on the head with a reed and spitting on Him. Getting down on their knees, they were paying Him homage.
Those who passed by kept insulting him, shaking their heads, and saying, "Ha! You who were going to destroy the sanctuary and rebuild it in three days

Let the Messiah, the king of Israel, come down from the cross now, since seeing is believing!" Even the men who were crucified with him kept insulting him.
They kept saying to one another, "Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?"
Then his disciples went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord kept working with them and confirming the message by the signs that accompanied it.

But she was very perplexed at this statement, and kept pondering what kind of salutation this was.

However, they did not understand this statement. Its meaning was kept hidden from them so that they would not grasp it; and they were afraid to ask Him about it.
In that same hour he was full of joy in the Holy Spirit and said, I give praise to you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have kept these things secret from the wise and the men of learning, and have made them clear to little children: for so, O Father, it was pleasing in your eyes.
