'Leader' in the Bible

Shiza the Reubenite's son Adina, a leader of the descendants of Reuben, along with thirty others with him,

Ahiezer, the leader, and Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; Jeziel and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; Berachah, Jehu the Anathothite,

Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a warrior among the Thirty and a leader over the Thirty;Jeremiah, Jahaziel, Johanan, Jozabad the Gederathite;

Their leader was Ezer, Obadiah was second, Eliab third,

Then the Spirit came upon Amasai, leader of the Thirty, and he said, "David, we belong to you; we're with you, son of Jesse! Peace, peace to you, and peace to the one who helps you! For your deliverer is your God."

And Jehoiada was the leader of the Aaronites, and with him were three thousand and seven hundred;

And David consulted with the captains of thousands and hundreds, and with every leader.

From the Kohathites, Uriel the leader and 120 of his relatives;

from the Merarites, Asaiah the leader and 220 of his relatives;

Chenaniah, the leader of the Levites in music, was to direct the music because he was skillful.

Now David was dressed in a robe of fine linen, as were all the Levites who were carrying the ark, as well as the singers and Chenaniah, the music leader of the singers. David also wore a linen ephod.

Asaph was the leader and Zechariah second in command, followed by Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom, and Jeiel. They were to play stringed instruments; Asaph was to sound the cymbals;

As for the Hebronites: Jeriah was the leader of the Hebronites according to the genealogical records. In the fortieth year of David's reign, they examined the records and discovered there were highly respected men in Jazer in Gilead.

Dodai the Ahohite was in charge of the division for the second month, and Mikloth was the leader; 24,000 were in his division.

and Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazar,Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malchijah, Elam, and Ezer.Then the singers sang, with Jezrahiah as the leader.

The number of my steps I tell Him, As a leader I approach Him.

For Syria's leader is Damascus, and the leader of Damascus is Rezin. Within sixty-five years Ephraim will no longer exist as a nation.

Ephraim's leader is Samaria, and Samaria's leader is the son of Remaliah. If your faith does not remain firm, then you will not remain secure."

At that time those left in Israel, those who remain of the family of Jacob, will no longer rely on a foreign leader that abuses them. Instead they will truly rely on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.

And a wolf hath sojourned with a lamb, And a leopard with a kid doth lie down, And calf, and young lion, and fatling are together, And a little youth is leader over them.

It will be a sign and witness to the Lord of Hosts in the land of Egypt. When they cry out to the Lord because of their oppressors, He will send them a savior and leader, and he will rescue them.

There is not a leader to her Out of all the sons she hath borne, And there is none laying hold on her hand Out of all the sons she hath nourished.

And I, Yahweh, I will be for them {as God}, and my servant David [will be] a leader in the midst of them. I, Yahweh, I have spoken.

And the arms of the flood are overflowed from before him, and are broken; and also the leader of the covenant.

And the people of Judah and the people of Israel will be united as one. They will appoint for themselves a single leader and will take dominion over the land, for great will be the day of Jezreel.

I will remove Moab's leader; I will kill all Moab's officials with him." The Lord has spoken!

One who breaks open the waywill advance before them;they will break out, pass through the gate,and leave by it.Their King will pass through before them,the Lord as their leader.

Jerusalem, why are you now shouting so loudly? Has your king disappeared? Has your wise leader been destroyed? Is this why pain grips you as if you were a woman in labor?

And speaking of evil, they practice it eagerly with both hands! Both leader and judge demand a bribe, the famous confess their perverted desires, and they scheme together.

Do not be called leaders; for One is your Leader, that is, Christ.

Then a synagogue leader named Jairus arrived. When he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet

But when Jesus overheard what was said, He told the synagogue leader, “Don’t be afraid. Only believe.”

When they came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw mass confusion. People were crying and sobbing loudly.

Just then, a man named Jairus came. He was a leader of the synagogue. He fell down at Jesus’ feet and pleaded with Him to come to his house,

But when Jesus heard this, he told the synagogue leader, "Stop being afraid! Just believe, and she will get well."

But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, responded by telling the crowd, “There are six days when work should be done; therefore come on those days and be healed and not on the Sabbath day.”

One Sabbath, Jesus went to the house of a leader of the Pharisees to eat a meal. The guests were watching Jesus closely.

But ye shall not be thus; but let the greater among you be as the younger, and the leader as he that serves.
