Jacob’s sons came upon the slain and looted the city, because they had defiled their sister.

You should not have entered the city of my people when they experienced distress. You should not have joined in gloating over their misfortune when they suffered distress. You should not have looted their wealth when they endured distress.

“Because you have looted many nations,All the remainder of the peoples will loot you—Because of human bloodshed and violence done to the land,To the town and all its inhabitants.

"I am about to punish them in such a way," he says, "that they will be looted by their own slaves." Then you will know that the Lord who rules over all has sent me.

I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem for battle. The city will be captured, the houses looted, and the women raped. Half the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be removed from the city.
