'May' in the Bible

so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.

Jesus continued, "To what may I compare the people living today?

The ones on the path are the people who listen, but then the Devil comes and takes the word away from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.

Then the master told the servant, "Go out into the streets and the lanes and make the people come in, so that my house may be full.

So be alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place and to take your stand in the presence of the Son of Man."
