And the angel came in to her, and said, Hail, thou favoured one! the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou amongst women.

And they said to her, There is no one among thy kinsfolk who is called by this name.

And it came to pass, as the angels departed from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, Let us make our way then now as far as Bethlehem, and let us see this thing that is come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.

And persons engaged in military service also asked him saying, And we, what should we do? And he said to them, Oppress no one, nor accuse falsely, and be satisfied with your pay.

And when the sun went down, all, as many as had persons sick with divers diseases, brought them to him, and having laid his hands on every one of them, he healed them;

And getting into one of the ships, which was Simon's, he asked him to draw out a little from the land; and he sat down and taught the crowds out of the ship.

And it came to pass as he was in one of the cities, that behold, there was a man full of leprosy, and seeing Jesus, falling upon his face, he besought him saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou art able to cleanse me.

And he enjoined him to tell no one; but go, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing as Moses ordained, for a testimony to them.

And it came to pass on one of the days, that he was teaching, and there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, who were come out of every village of Galilee and Judaea and out of Jerusalem; and the Lord's power was there to heal them.

And he spoke also a parable to them: No one puts a piece of a new garment upon an old garment, otherwise he will both rend the new, and the piece which is from the new will not suit with the old.

And no one puts new wine into old skins, otherwise the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be poured out, and the skins will be destroyed;

And no one having drunk old wine straightway wishes for new, for he says, The old is better.

To every one that asks of thee, give; and from him that takes away what is thine, ask it not back.

The disciple is not above his teacher, but every one that is perfected shall be as his teacher.

Every one that comes to me, and hears my words and does them, I will shew you to whom he is like.

And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.

The Lord therefore answered him and said, Hypocrites! does not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the manger and leading it away, water it?

And he went through one city and village after another, teaching, and journeying to Jerusalem.

And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the rulers, who was of the Pharisees, to eat bread on the sabbath, that they were watching him.

When thou art invited by any one to a wedding, do not lay thyself down in the first place at table, lest perhaps a more honourable than thou be invited by him,

And one of those that were lying at table with them, hearing these things, said to him, Blessed is he who shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.

for I say to you, that not one of those men who were invited shall taste of my supper.

What man of you having a hundred sheep, and having lost one of them, does not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

Or, what woman having ten drachmas, if she lose one drachma, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and seek carefully till she find it?

And he went and joined himself to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.

And he longed to fill his belly with the husks which the swine were eating; and no one gave to him.

I am no longer worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.

And if any one ask you, Why do ye loose it? thus shall ye say to him, Because the Lord has need of it.

And it came to pass on one of the days, as he was teaching the people in the temple, and announcing the glad tidings, the chief priests and the scribes with the elders came up,

And he answering said to them, I also will ask you one thing, and tell me:

Every one falling on this stone shall be broken, but on whomsoever it shall fall, it shall grind him to powder.

For which is greater, he that is at table or he that serves? Is not he that is at table? But I am in the midst of you as the one that serves.
