'Own' in the Bible

Punish them, God;let them fall by their own schemes.Drive them out because of their many crimes,for they rebel against You.

His trouble comes back on his own head,and his violence falls on the top of his head.

For the wicked one boasts about his own cravings;the one who is greedy curses and despises the Lord.

They say, “Through our tongues we have power;our lips are our own—who can be our master?”

Happy is the nation whose God is Yahweh—the people He has chosen to be His own possession!

for in his own eyes he flatters himself too muchto discover and hate his sin.

Their swords will enter their own hearts,and their bows will be broken.

They will be made to stumble;their own tongues work against them.All who see them will shake their heads.

For the Lord listens to the needyand does not despiseHis own who are prisoners.

Remember Your congregation,which You purchased long agoand redeemed as the tribe for Your own possession.Remember Mount Zion where You dwell.

So I gave them over to their stubborn heartsto follow their own plans.

Therefore the Lord’s anger burned against His people,and He abhorred His own inheritance.

Let the wicked fall into their own nets,while I pass by safely.
