They crush Your people, O Lord,And afflict Your heritage.

Pay heed, you senseless among the people;And when will you understand, stupid ones?

For He is our God,And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand.Today, if you would hear His voice,

“For forty years I loathed that generation,And said they are a people who err in their heart,And they do not know My ways.

This will be written for the generation to come,That a people yet to be created may praise the Lord.

And they wandered about from nation to nation,From one kingdom to another people.

And He caused His people to be very fruitful,And made them stronger than their adversaries.

He turned their heart to hate His people,To deal craftily with His servants.

And He brought forth His people with joy,His chosen ones with a joyful shout.

Remember me, O Lord, in Your favor toward Your people;Visit me with Your salvation,

Therefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against His peopleAnd He abhorred His inheritance.

Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,From everlasting even to everlasting.And let all the people say, “Amen.”Praise the Lord!

Let them extol Him also in the congregation of the people,And praise Him at the seat of the elders.
