'Promise' in the Bible

For the sake of your promise and according to your purpose you have done this great thing in order to reveal it to your servant.

Now, Lord God, fulfill the promise forever that You have made to Your servant and his house. Do as You have promised,

Now, O sovereign Lord, you are the true God! May your words prove to be true! You have made this good promise to your servant!

because when I was living at Geshur in Aram, your servant made this solemn promise: "If the LORD ever brings me back to Jerusalem, then I will serve the LORD.'"

Then the king addressed Shimei, "You won't die!" affirming his promise with an oath.
