'Sand' in the Bible

For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.

The sand partridge will make her nest there;she will lay and hatch her eggsand will gather her brood under her shadow.Indeed, the birds of prey will gather there,each with its mate.

And the glowing sand shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water: in the habitation of jackals, where they lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.

But the wicked are like a surging sea that is unable to be quiet; its waves toss up mud and sand.
