'Thankful' in the Bible
I remember this as I pour out my heart: how I walked with many, leading the festive procession to the house of God, with joyful and thankful shouts.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
Peace, peace, to him who is far off [both Jew and Gentile] and to him who is near! says the Lord; I create the fruit of his lips, and I will heal him [make his lips blossom anew with speech in thankful praise].
Then Peter said to Jesus, "Master, we are thankful to you that we are here. If you approve, I will put up three tents here, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."

Is he thankful to the bondman because he has done what was ordered? I judge not.
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
The one who is intent on the day is intent on [it] for the Lord, and the one who eats eats for the Lord, because he is thankful to God, and the one who does not eat does not eat for the Lord, and he is thankful to God.
and who risked their necks for my life. I am thankful to them, and so are all the churches among the gentiles.
If I eat with thankfulness, why should I be denounced because of what I am thankful for?
For you have been rooted in him and are being built up and strengthened in the faith, just as you were taught, while you continue to be thankful.
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Devote yourselves to prayer. Be alert and thankful when you pray.
