Then Jesus told the crowds and his disciples,
But he told them, "You see all these things, don't you? I tell all of you with certainty, there isn't a single stone here that will be left standing on top of another. They will all be torn down."
Behold, I have told you before.
"But the foolish ones told the wise, "Give us some of your oil, because our lamps are going out!'
"His master told him, "Well done, good and trustworthy servant! Since you've been trustworthy with a small amount, I'll put you in charge of a large amount. Come and share your master's joy!'
"His master told him, "Well done, good and trustworthy servant! Since you've been trustworthy with a small amount, I'll put you in charge of a large amount. Come and share your master's joy!'
When Jesus had finished saying all this, He told His disciples,
Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.
Then Judas, His betrayer, replied, “Surely not I, Rabbi?”“You have said it,” He told him.
Then Jesus told them, "All of you will turn against me this very night, because it is written, "I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.'
Peter told Him, “Even if everyone runs away because of You, I will never run away!”
Jesus told him, "I tell you with certainty, before a rooster crows this very night, you will deny me three times."
“Even if I have to die with You,” Peter told Him, “I will never deny You!” And all the disciples said the same thing.
Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and He told the disciples, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.”
Then he told them, "I'm so deeply grieved that I feel I'm about to die. Wait here and stay awake with me."
When he went back to the disciples, he found them asleep. He told Peter, "So, you men couldn't stay awake with me for one hour, could you?
Then he came back to the disciples and told them, "You might as well keep on sleeping and resting. Look! The time is near for the Son of Man to be betrayed into the hands of sinners.
Then Jesus told him, “Put your sword back in its place because all who take up a sword will perish by a sword.
But Jesus was silent. Then the high priest told him, "I command you by the living God to tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God!"
“You have said it,” Jesus told him. “But I tell you, in the future you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
When he had gone out to the gateway, another woman saw him and told those who were there, “This man was with Jesus the Nazarene!”
After a little while, the people who were standing there came up and told Peter, "Obviously you're also one of them, because your accent gives you away."
“You have a guard of soldiers,” Pilate told them. “Go and make it as secure as you know how.”
But the angel told the women, “Don’t be afraid, because I know you are looking for Jesus who was crucified.
And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
Then Jesus told them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brothers to leave for Galilee, and they will see Me there.”
While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and told the high priests everything that had happened.
and told them, “Say this, ‘His disciples came during the night and stole Him while we were sleeping.’
So they took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story is told among the Jews to this day.
Then Jesus approached them and told them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
“Follow Me,” Jesus told them, “and I will make you fish for people!”
Simon’s mother-in-law was lying in bed with a fever, and they told Him about her at once.
When they found him, they told him, "Everyone's looking for you."
Then a leper came to Jesus and began pleading with him. He fell on his knees and told him, "If you want to, you can make me clean."
Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out His hand and touched him. “I am willing,” He told him. “Be made clean.”
He told the man, "Be sure that you don't tell anyone. Instead, go and show yourself to the priest, and then offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded as proof to the authorities."
Seeing their faith, Jesus told the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”
But so you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins,” He told the paralytic,
As he was walking along, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting at the tax collector's desk. Jesus told him, "Follow me!" So Levi got up and followed him.
When Jesus heard this, He told them, “Those who are well don’t need a doctor, but the sick do need one. I didn’t come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Then He told them, “The Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath.
He told the man with the paralyzed hand, “Stand before us.”
After looking around at them with anger and sorrow at the hardness of their hearts, He told the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out, and his hand was restored.
Then He told His disciples to have a small boat ready for Him, so the crowd would not crush Him.
A crowd was sitting around Him and told Him, “Look, Your mother, Your brothers, and Your sisters are outside asking for You.”
He taught them many things in parables, and told them in his teaching,
He told them, "The secret about the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside, everything comes in parables
Then he told them, "You don't understand this parable, so how can you understand any of the parables?
Then Jesus told them, "A lamp isn't brought indoors to be put under a basket or under a bed, is it? It's to be put on a lamp stand, isn't it?
On that day, when evening had come, He told them, “Let’s cross over to the other side of the sea.”
He himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion, and they woke him up, and told him, "Teacher, don't you care that we are dying?"
Then he got up, rebuked the wind, and told the sea, "Calm down! Be still!" Then the wind stopped blowing, and there was a great calm.
For He had told him, “Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!”
He told him, "My name is Legion, because there are many of us." He kept pleading with Jesus not to send them out of that region.
And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.
And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.
But He would not let him; instead, He told him, “Go back home to your own people, and report to them how much the Lord has done for you and how He has had mercy on you.”
But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
He told her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed from your illness."
But when Jesus overheard what was said, He told the synagogue leader, “Don’t be afraid. Only believe.”
He took her by the hand and told her, "Talitha koum," which means, "Young lady, I tell you, get up!"
But Jesus strictly ordered them not to let anyone know about this. He also told them to give her something to eat.
He told them repeatedly, "Whenever you go into a home, stay there until you leave that place.
For John had repeatedly told Herod, "It is not lawful for you to have your brother's wife."
When the daughter of Herodias came in and danced, she pleased Herod and his guests. So the king told the girl, "Ask me for anything you want, and I'll give it to you."
And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.
He told them, "Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and rest for a while," because so many people were coming and going that they didn't even have time to eat.
He asked them, "How many loaves of bread do you have? Go and see." They found out and told him, "Five loaves and two fish."
All of them saw him and were terrified. Immediately he told them, "Have courage! It's me. Stop being afraid!"
He told them, "Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites. As it is written, "These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.
Then he told them, "You have such a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God in order to keep your own tradition!
Summoning the crowd again, He told them, “Listen to Me, all of you, and understand:
Then He told her, “Because of this reply, you may go. The demon has gone out of your daughter.”
Then he looked up to heaven, sighed, and told him, "Ephphatha," that is, "Be opened!"
At that time, after a large crowd again had gathered together with nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples and told them,
They also had a few small fish. After giving thanks for these, he told them to serve these as well.
Now about 4,000 men were there. Then he sent them on their way.
When I broke the five loaves for the 5,000, how many baskets full of pieces of bread did you collect?”“Twelve,” they told Him.
"When I broke the seven loaves for the 4,000, how many large baskets did you fill with the leftover pieces?" They told him, "Seven."
They told Him, saying, “John the Baptist; and others say Elijah; but others, one of the prophets.”
And now for the first time He told them, "The Son of Man must endure much suffering, and be rejected by the Elders and the High Priests and the Scribes, and be put to death, and after two days rise to life."
This He told them plainly; whereupon Peter took Him and began to remonstrate with Him.
Then Jesus called the crowd to himself along with his disciples and told them, "If anyone wants to follow me, he must deny himself, pick up his cross, and follow me continuously,
Then Peter told Jesus, "Rabbi, it's good that we're here! Let's set up three shelters one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."
And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.
and whenever it seizes him, it slams him to the ground and he foams at the mouth, and grinds his teeth and stiffens out. I told Your disciples to cast it out, and they could not do it.”
Jesus told them, "You unbelieving generation! How long must I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring him to me!"
Jesus told him, ""If you are able?' Everything is possible for the person who believes!"
And He told them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer [and fasting].”
So he sat down, called the Twelve, and told them, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be last of all and servant of all."
Then he took a little child and had him stand among them. He took him in his arms and told them,
John told Jesus, "Teacher, we saw someone driving out demons in your name. We tried to stop him, because he wasn't a follower like us."
But Jesus told them, “He wrote this command for you because of the hardness of your hearts.
So he told them, "Whoever divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her.
When Jesus saw this, he became furious and told them, "Let the little children come to me, and stop keeping them away, because the kingdom of God belongs to people like these.
Jesus looked at him and loved him. Then he told him, "You're missing one thing. Go and sell everything you own, give the money to the destitute, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come back and follow me."
Then Jesus looked around and told his disciples, "How hard it will be for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!"
The disciples were startled by these words, but Jesus told them again, "Children, how hard it is for those who trust in their wealth to get into the kingdom of God!
James and John, the sons of Zebedee, went to Jesus and told him, "Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask you."
But Jesus told them, "You don't realize what you're asking. Can you drink from the cup that I'm going to drink from or be baptized with the baptism with which I'm going to be baptized?"
