'Considerable' in the Bible
How fair are your tents, O Jacob,And your tabernacles, O Israel!
and many of the Jews had come to see Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning [the loss of] their brother.
After considerable time had passed [about three years or so], the Jews plotted together to kill him,
And so it was that Peter stayed in Joppa for many days with Simon, a tanner.
You see and hear that not only at Ephesus, but almost all over [the province of] Asia, this Paul has persuaded [people to believe his teaching] and has misled a large number of people, claiming that gods made by [human] hands are not really gods at all.
When Paul had gone back upstairs and had broken the bread and eaten, he talked [informally and confidentially] with them for a long time—until daybreak [in fact]—and then he left.
For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and accurate instruction [that challenges them with God’s truth]; but wanting to have their ears tickled [with something pleasing], they will accumulate for themselves [many] teachers [one after another, chosen] to satisfy their own desires and to support the errors they hold,
