'Foolishness' in the Bible

Now someone told David, saying, “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” And David said, “O Lord, I pray, make the counsel of Ahithophel foolishness.”

The crown of the wise is their riches,But the folly of fools is foolishness.

The foolishness of man ruins his way,And his heart rages against the Lord.

Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child;The rod of discipline will remove it far from him.

I directed my mind to know, to investigate and to seek wisdom and an explanation, and to know the evil of folly and the foolishness of madness.

To my shame I must say that we have been weak by comparison.But in whatever respect anyone else is bold—I speak in foolishness—I am just as bold myself.
